ConnectYou was engaged by an engineering design consultancy who focus on the Transmission & Distribution sector to provide permanent recruitment services to help set up new offices in Melbourne and Hobart after securing a multibillion-dollar project win.
The challenge

The award of the project came relatively unexpectedly so there was an urgency to set up offices and hire the respective teams as soon as possible to ensure client project deadlines would be met.

Projects involved a mix of brownfield and greenfield works involving major substations and over 200km of transmission lines. Given the project type, the candidates ConnectYou were required to recruit were extremely scarce in the market at the time.

Melbourne office selected by client was far Eastern suburbs so candidates needed to be close enough to commute to the office on a daily basis.
