Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centres

Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established, growing consultancy within the Data Centre and Mission Critical sector. This is a permanent opportunity to be part of a high-performing team delivering complex, large-scale projects across Australia and internationally.
This role offers a strong pathway into the data centre space for experienced electrical design engineers, with structured support and mentorship provided for those transitioning from adjacent sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems across data centre and critical infrastructure projects
• Produce detailed electrical engineering designs including schematics, layouts and calculations
• Undertake power system studies including fault level, protection and discrimination analysis
• Develop technical specifications, reports and supporting documentation
• Carry out site inspections and surveys to inform and validate design development
• Coordinate designs with internal disciplines and external stakeholders
• Support and mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians
• Engage in client meetings and provide technical input across project delivery
• Collaborate with both local and international teams on multidisciplinary projects
• Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the design lifecycle

Required Experience

• Strong electrical design background within building services, mission critical or complex infrastructure projects
• Proven experience delivering projects across concept through to detailed design
• Capability across electrical design documentation, calculations and reporting
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Exposure to client-facing environments and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to lead project packages or manage small to medium-scale projects

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
