Project Engineer

We are recruiting for a Civil and Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a large-scale infrastructure project in Victoria.

This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to an project engineer with strong construction delivery experience and exposure to stringing activities. Working as part of an experienced project delivery team, you will play a key role in coordinating site operations, managing subcontractors and supporting the successful delivery of complex construction works from planning through to completion. Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of large-scale construction works from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate and oversee on-site stringing activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to project requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel throughout construction activities.
• Coordinate technical documentation, design queries and project records.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation including inspections, testing records and progress reports.
• Assist with project scheduling, procurement and construction planning.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and contribute to effective project delivery.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with project requirements and safety standards.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients and subcontractors to support successful project outcomes.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience delivering civil and structural engineering within renewable energy, utilities or major high voltage infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 2 years' Australian construction project experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on construction experience delivering stringing activities, including planning, coordinating and supervising stringing crews, plant and subcontractors during construction.
• Strong understanding of the stringing process, including conductor installation, tensioning, sagging, clipping-in, pulling operations, temporary works, equipment setup and quality requirements.
• Experience coordinating construction methodologies, work packs, permits, lift plans, access requirements and daily site activities associated with stringing works.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, HSEQ requirements and construction documentation, including RFIs, ITPs, inspections and progress reporting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction specifications and technical documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across site, design and client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
