Lineworker

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Lineworker to join a leading NSW-based power infrastructure contractor operating across the transmission, distribution and renewable energy sectors. With a strong pipeline of utility and energy infrastructure projects across New South Wales, this role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of overhead and underground networks, maintenance, and network upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver overhead and underground distribution and sub-transmission line construction and maintenance works across utility infrastructure project
• Support OPGW installation, conductor stringing, pole replacements, and overhead line upgrades
• Carry out timber, concrete, and steel pole installation works
• Assist with renewable energy cut-ins and utility network connection work

Key Requirements:

• Experience working as an Overhead Linesman within distribution, sub-transmission, or utility network environments
• Strong overhead construction and maintenance experience across utility infrastructure projects
• Experience with OPGW installation, conductor stringing, or pole replacement works highly regarded
• Experience working on 132kV transmission infrastructure, including towers and monopoles (highly regarded)
• Exposure to lattice tower erection, sub-transmission, or transmission line projects advantageous, HV cable terminations and underground cable work
• Utility network experience working with clients such as Essential Energy, Ausgrid, Endeavour, Transgrid, or similar highly regarded
• Ability and willingness to work within both regional project environments and metro Sydney-based civil/utility crews
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on distribution and transmission networks
• Values teamwork & safety as a priority.

Qualifications:

• Australian Cert III ESI – Distribution Overhead (preferred)
• Open to New Zealand qualified Linesmen transitioning into Australian Cert III ESI pathways
• EWP (High Risk Work Licence)
• Forklift Licence
• Dogging Ticket
• Rigging Ticket
