  • Conduct steady state power system analyses including load flow, contingency analysis, and voltage stability studies.
  • Develop and maintain power system models using software tools such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, or PSSE.
  • Perform system optimisation studies to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct transient stability studies to assess the dynamic behaviour of the power system under various operating conditions and disturbances.
  • Analyse and mitigate transient stability issues through appropriate control strategies and equipment specifications.
  • Perform electromagnetic transient simulations to evaluate system response to switching operations and lightning events.
  • Provide technical support to transmission and distribution projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing study findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • Present technical information to stakeholders including clients, regulators, and internal teams.
  • Support project managers in the preparation of project proposals and technical documentation.

Required Experience:
  • Experience in power systems engineering with a focus on transmission and distribution.
  • Proficiency in power system simulation software such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, or PSSE.
  • Strong understanding of steady state and transient analysis techniques for power systems.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, grid codes, and industry standards relevant to power transmission and distribution.
