Engagement Manager – Strategy

Overview:
We are seeking an Engagement Manager to join a boutique strategy consultancy in Sydney, leading complex engagements across corporate strategy, growth strategy, commercial due diligence, and energy transition advisory.

This is a delivery leadership role for someone who can manage engagement teams, own client relationships, and shape strategic outputs across a range of sectors including energy, infrastructure, and broader corporate clients.

The firm operates without the layers of a traditional large firm, giving team members real ownership of client outcomes, and is built around a team trained at the world's leading strategy firms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day to day delivery of strategy engagements across corporate strategy, growth, and transaction advisory work
• Manage and mentor junior consulting staff on engagement teams
• Own client relationships and act as a key point of contact throughout engagements
• Structure complex problems and lead the development of strategic recommendations
• Oversee workstreams involving market analysis, commercial due diligence, and operational strategy
• Contribute to business development activities including proposals and client pitches
• Ensure quality control and rigour across all engagement deliverables

Required Experience:

• MBB or Tier 1.5 experience
• Experience managing engagement teams and leading client relationships
• Exposure to corporate strategy, growth strategy, or transaction advisory work
• Experience across energy, infrastructure, or broader corporate sectors highly regarded
• Strong track record structuring and solving ambiguous, complex problems
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, with strong academic results
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification highly regarded
