We are seeking an Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee the construction of a high-voltage substation on a major wind farm project in regional Queensland.
This role involves managing HV operations, coordinating energy control, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards during the construction and commissioning phases.

- Employment Type: 12 month fixed term contract (renewal options)
- First Project:
- Location: Regional QLD (Approx. 4-hour drive from Brisbane)
- DIDO or FIFO roster available
- Oversee all HV works on-site as the HV Responsible Officer (HVRO).
- Coordinate HV switching, isolation, earthing, and safety documentation.
- Develop and execute switching programs and HV commissioning plans.
- Supervise electrical construction, pre-commissioning, and HV commissioning.
- Review and report on Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and QA documentation.
- Conduct safety reviews, inspections, and tests of electrical components.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of project milestones.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, delays, and mitigation measures.
- Ensure all electrical work meets Australian standards and safety requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and site resources effectively.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage operations and commissioning procedures.
- Proven experience in electrical construction, pre-commissioning, and HV commissioning.
- Ability to develop and execute switching programs and ensure HV safety compliance.
- Experience in supervising subcontractors and electrical teams on remote construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA), Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Understanding of Australian electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Must hold a valid Australian Electrical License.
