We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of major energy infrastructure projects across Victoria. This role will see you working across high-voltage transmission, substations, or renewable energy developments, contributing to the successful execution of complex grid and power projects.
You will play a key role in supporting project delivery from design coordination through to construction, commissioning, and handover, working closely with project managers, site teams, contractors, and key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of electrical scopes across HV transmission, substation, and renewable energy projects (typically 33kV-500kV)
- Coordinate design reviews and ensure constructability of electrical systems and infrastructure
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Assist with procurement, including technical evaluations, RFQs, and supplier engagement
- Oversee site based electrical works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements
- Prepare and review technical documentation including ITPs, RFIs, NCRs, and commissioning plans
- Support commissioning and energisation activities, including testing and validation of electrical systems
- Monitor project progress, costs, and risks, providing regular reporting to project stakeholders
- Liaise with clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with grid and connection requirements
- Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement across project delivery
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within the energy or infrastructure sector
- Strong exposure to high-voltage transmission lines, substations, or renewable energy projects
- Demonstrated involvement across the full project lifecycle, including construction and commissioning phases
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, protection schemes, and grid connection processes
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
