We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of major transmission line and substation projects, based in Western Australia. This position will play a key role in overseeing site-based construction activities across high-voltage energy infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.
Working closely with project teams, contractors, utilities, and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving construction performance across complex brownfield and greenfield HV infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end site delivery of HV transmission and substation construction projects
- Manage daily construction activities across civil, structural, electrical, HSE and commissioning scopes
- Oversee subcontractors, supervisors, and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Drive compliance with project specifications, safety standards, QA/QC requirements, and client expectations
- Coordinate construction sequencing, site logistics, shutdowns, outages, and energisation activities
- Monitor project progress, budgets, forecasting, and productivity across site operations
- Manage construction reporting, lookaheads, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication
- Ensure all ITPs, RFIs, NCRs, permits, and project documentation are completed and maintained accurately
- Work closely with project engineering and commissioning teams to support successful testing and handover activities
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager within infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects
- Strong background in transmission, substations, or large-scale civil/electrical infrastructure
- Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large site teams and multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen, including budget and contract management
- Solid understanding of construction delivery in brownfield and/or greenfield environments
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (Preferred but not essential)
