Commissioning Engineer
Commissioning Engineer opportunity in Adelaide working across major electrical infrastructure projects from testing through to energisation.
An exciting opportunity to join a growing project delivery team based in Adelaide. Working across major electrical infrastructure and energy projects, this role will be responsible for supporting the testing, commissioning,
energisation and handover of critical electrical systems from construction through to operational readiness.
This position offers exposure to complex projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure safe, compliant and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute commissioning activities across electrical infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review commissioning plans, procedures, test documentation and commissioning schedules.
- Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning and functional testing activities.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning interfaces between electrical, control and communication systems.
- Support energisation activities and system start-up processes.
- Identify, investigate and resolve technical issues encountered during commissioning.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
- Prepare commissioning reports, defect registers, test records and handover documentation.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams throughout commissioning phases.
- Participate in FAT, SAT and integrated system testing activities where required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, project requirements and site safety procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across commissioning and project delivery functions.
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering commissioning activities within electrical infrastructure, utilities, industrial, renewable energy or construction environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, protection and control systems, switchgear and associated infrastructure.
- Experience working within project delivery, EPC or construction environments.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single line diagrams and technical documentation.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
- Demonstrated understanding of commissioning methodologies, testing procedures and quality assurance processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Understanding of QA/QC processes, compliance requirements, and utility standards
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
