Associate – Energy Strategy

Overview:
This is a corporate strategy role inside a boutique consulting firm serving energy sector executives. You will lead operating model reviews, five year strategies and commercial model design for CEOs and CFOs.

This suits someone with strong quantitative instincts who wants direct C-suite exposure early. The firm works across Sydney and Melbourne with a strong reputation for sharp, senior advice in its sector.

Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise wide operating model reviews for large energy sector organisations
• Build five year corporate strategies working directly with CEOs and CFOs
• Design new commercial models and structures in response to regulatory or market shifts
• Analyse complex, data heavy problems quickly to support executive level decisions
• Present findings and recommendations directly to C-suite stakeholders
• Work in small senior led teams on high stakes strategic mandates
• Contribute to strategic reviews spanning energy, infrastructure and data centre related engagements as demand in these sectors grows

Required Experience:

• Background from a leading global strategy firm (MBB) or top tier boutique strategy consultancy, or a demonstrated track record of multiple accelerated promotions in lieu of this
• Experience advising in the energy sector, broader infrastructure, or data centre related industries highly valued
• Strong quantitative reasoning and the ability to work through ambiguous, data heavy problems at pace
• Comfort presenting complex analysis directly to CEOs, CFOs or other senior executives from day one
• Demonstrated ownership of client relationships and engagement outcomes, valued above years of tenure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, engineering or economics discipline
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification an advantage
