Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the construction of major substation projects from mobilisation to handover.
- Lead site-based construction teams including supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards across all construction activities.
- Develop and maintain construction programs, schedules, and budgets.
- Drive productivity and problem-solve construction challenges in real time.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager (or Senior Site/Project Engineer ready to step up) on substations or high-voltage infrastructure projects (66kV–500kV).
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary site teams.
- Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution construction processes and standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage complex site logistics.
- Background in managing construction budgets, and schedules
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- High Voltage Switching certification (desirable but not mandatory)
- Current Australian driver’s license
