Construction Manager

We are recruiting for a Construction Manager for our client who operate in the Transmission & Distribution sector.

The position is to lead the delivery of major substation projects that are shaping the future of Australia’s energy infrastructure. Our client is known for delivering complex high-voltage projects on time and to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the construction of major substation projects from mobilisation to handover.
• Lead site-based construction teams including supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards across all construction activities.
• Develop and maintain construction programs, schedules, and budgets.
• Drive productivity and problem-solve construction challenges in real time.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager (or Senior Site/Project Engineer ready to step up) on substations or high-voltage infrastructure projects (66kV–500kV).
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary site teams.
• Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution construction processes and standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage complex site logistics.
• Background in managing construction budgets, and schedules

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential)
• Construction Induction (White Card)
• High Voltage Switching certification (desirable but not mandatory)
• Current Australian driver’s license
