Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director - Data Centres to join a leading, global multi-disciplinary consultancy within the Data Centre and Mission Critical sector. This is a permanent opportunity to step into a leadership position within a high-performing team, delivering complex, large-scale projects across Australia and internationally.

This role is well suited to a Senior Engineer ready to step into an Associate position, with clear responsibility across project delivery, team leadership and client engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems across data centre and mission critical projects
  • Take responsibility for the technical and operational delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with client briefs
  • Manage project teams, including engineers and technicians, providing direction, support and mentorship
  • Oversee and review electrical designs, ensuring technical accuracy and quality before client submission
  • Manage project financials including resource allocation, budgets, invoicing and overall project performance
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across internal teams and external consultants
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing relationships and contributing to ongoing business development
  • Lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication of deliverables, timelines and key risks
  • Support recruitment, performance management and development of junior team members
  • Contribute to fee proposals, project planning and broader business growth initiatives

Required Experience
  • Strong electrical design background within building services, mission critical or complex infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle from concept through to detailed design
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, including financial and resource responsibility
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams while maintaining high technical standards
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary environments and coordinating across disciplines
  • Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of project risk and delivery

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Chartered status or working towards Chartership preferred
