Project Engineer – Transmission Lines

Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer for Transmission Lines to be based in Perth in a permanent role for our client who are a major organisation in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector nationally across Australia.  
 
Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary interface between the client and the company’s internal design team for transmission line projects, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with clients to comprehend project specifications, technical requirements, and performance expectations for power transmission and distribution systems.
• Translate client needs into comprehensive project plans, design strategies, and engineering specifications that align with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead project coordination efforts, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards while mitigating potential risks and challenges.
• Facilitate effective communication channels between clients and internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular project updates.
• Conduct thorough technical assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses to identify optimal solutions and ensure project feasibility and success.
• Review and validate project designs, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the internal design team, fostering a collaborative environment for innovation and excellence.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost efficiencies, and performance improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in power transmission and distribution engineering, with a focus on transmission line projects.
• Profound knowledge of transmission line systems, design principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory standards within the power sector.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management tools and other relevant engineering applications.
• Previous experience in delivering projects to a schedule and budget.
• Experience in client facing positions
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to addressing project complexities and challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
